Sturgeon red faced... Using trans people for political gain..

we also had a vote on that too over 10 years ago. 68% said no.

shall we have another vote?

its human nature for some, that when they lose, they try to justify that actually they won or it was rigged or it was the wrong questions. or or , or

it's not me arguing to change the vote criteria.

You are the 1 wanting a higher bar to jump over. That's not democracy

Surprised at the opposition from the libertarian right on here. The usual response is let them do want they want, jog on. But when the ess en pee govt does that ( self identification ion) there’s outrage. The sad fact is when equality costs nothing is fine (eg physical disability)

Blup

Maybe Scotland needs a second chamber then this bat sh*t crazy law Sturgeon got passed that the vast majority of Scotland's population are against, might not have seen the light of day.
That she thinks she can weaponise it against westminister when the majority of Scotland are against it kinda answers the question is she playing with a full deck.

You might be right, do you have the figures to support the claim though?

I wasn't aware it had been put out for public support or rejection?

And I am not arguing whether the proposition is right or not, just the claim (is it a wild one ? )

Independence was ok for Britain, but not for Scotland ?

I don't see a big difference

You see what suits your opinion, or wishes.

However, to humour you with "a big difference", Scotland is a part of Britain(sic?), so was carried along with it.

Following your logic, you might reduce it to absurdity and say "I voted Remain, therefore I remain (legally) a constituent of the EU."

So very simply why can't Scotland become independent if that's what the majority want ?

Nothing whatsoever to do with my opinion of whether Scotland should or should not become independent.

Westminster provide most of Scotland's funding, we're by far their biggest customer and Scotland buys about 2/3 of its stuff from the rest of the UK.
If they have and win a referendum they have no money and no plan. Every asset of Scotland's is also currently an asset of the UK (Inc North sea oil) and is up for grabs.
I say let them have a vote and be done with it, they're knackered without us
