I'm having the excat same problem. Just had our old boiler replaced with a Potterton Suprima 60HE. Since it has been installed, the downstairs rads have been constantly hot. There is no way of switching them off!! I put the programmer on off for both HW and CH. Thermostat at 16C. Still the rad are hot.
Has the programmer not been connected properly??
The only thing I haven't done is turn off the boiler by its switch.

Apart from get the guys who installed it in, anything else I can do???

Probably !
Definitely sounds like a wiring fault somewhere! Programmer and wiring box if fitted are most likely places where the wiring is wrong

Only get someone else who knows what they are doing to sort it

what work have you had done?...new rads?, new pipework?. Is it a y plan (1 x 3 way valve) or an s plan (2 x 2 way valves). Do the rads come on when calling for hw only?

Thanks, you have confirmed what I've thought was going on. Thankfully the installers have not signed off the work. So I can get them to check it.

FYI - I had my boiler and cylinder replaced. The old one was the original when house was built!! No idea about the Y or S value plan. The rads come on as soon as the boiler is switched on. Have no control over CH and HW. Its like the programmer is not there.

Thanks for your comments

Are the installers Corgi Registered? It's a pretty silly mistake to make!
