"Take two toothbrushes into the bathroom?"

I thought they had a thermal cut out, but have never looked.

The solution to this is so easy.

One toothbrush is set to 240 and the other to 110.

You may find that even if the two toothbrushes could be plugged in using an adapter, not that ive seen one, that the transformer cannot supply sufficient current to do the job.

Ah. All the brushes I've seen are dual voltage, but maybe not all are.

Does the rating plate indicate 230 only or dual voltage?

Dont Shavers/tooth brushes charge from 220 OR 110 Mine does, When I go on holiday, where there is 110 I dond have problems. It might be that the transform, isnt man enough to supply both outlets together.

Both the brushes only run on 110. :(

The plate on the wall provides 230 and 110.

But the "good" news is... her tooth brush is on it's way out.

So I suppoose the easiest solution is to just buy her a toothbrush the same as mine.

But cheers for all the suggestions guys, very much appreciated. :D

Err - the Sonicare has exchangeable brusheads - you each have your own. Also when they wear out (4-6 months) you just replace the head and not the whole handle/battery/motor gubbins.....

Come one.... im FAR too lazy for that ;)

The heads do screw off, but I can't be ar5ed to change them every time I want to use it. I may just buy myself a nice new one, and let her "inherit" mine
