Tax and Spend Tories - over 40s to pay more Tax

poor old tories cant win, people consistently request left wing socialist policies, and as soon as they implement them, they still get moaned at.

taxes will always be ever increasing regardless of whatever dimwit is in charge of the country, as the public demands more and more the money has to come from somewhere is doesn't grow on trees. sometimes the folk on this forum astound me they appear so intelligent but so dim at the same time.

as someone who is coming up to their 40's i'm not really keen on the idea of paying higher taxes i work bloody hard for the things i have and i don't have much spare cash as it is, cant remember the last time i had a proper holiday was meant to go on one this year but covid put paid to that, i'd already resigned myself to paying higher taxes for the damage done to the economy and the financial care package that was implemented, i dont contribute much to a pension (funds just dont allow it) so will be working till i drop.

i bet even though i be paying into this, when i eventually turn into a vegetable the bastewards will still take my house as collateral

Remember the ten years of Tory austerity that ended a couple of months ago when they found a magic money tree in the back garden of 11 Downing Street?

The austerity policy was based on the belief that the banking crisis was caused by the excessive cost of public libraries in Doncaster.

Can you put a link up for that? I'm wondering if you're lying again?

It does if you are mates of Tories.

Robert Jenrick saved his mate £40 m. .....money which the local authority could've used to improve social care services.

Matt Hancock got £32k from IEA, in exchange all he has to do is offer up more NHS services for privatisation.

See money grows trees for some people

Yes indeed, maybe labour pointed to it's location when they decided they had hundreds of billions of pounds to give free Internet to all and buy back all the company's previous governments had sold.....

I believe also that all the tory haters was calling for an end to austerity .... Now u got it you don't want it....

People cannot have it all ways

Edit: councils control the funding for libraries, with modern wonders such as the world wide web, the numbers that make use of libraries have dwindled over the years and in some cases have been termed to not be used enough to keep them open.

Not for billionaires in tax havens.

The rich always get richer regardless of economic climate, the working class are the ones that get hit the hardest and have to work hard to keep the economy going.

I think there are very few millionaires whom actually pay the tax they should... Though I think if the loop holes are there and I was a millionaire I to would probably make use of the loop holes.

Some say the loop holes are a necessary evil to keep the economy going. I'm not an expert though merely just some keyboard warrior on a DIY forum.

They are NOT loopholes.

The rules are purposely designed to allow such things.

Which reverts to my statement about necessary evils.

I can't really believe that anyone thinks politicians are in it to best serve the public, to improve your lives. That might be the reason some start out in politics but by the time they get to a position of making change they fall in line with all the other corrupt politicians.

All these posh toffs millionaires don't get into politics because of the salary, Christ the prime minister's "wage" is poultry to what the job entails, some are to stupid for a real job (bojo, corbyn etc) so rely on back handers from their mates "corporate donations".

Corporate donations.... Back handers is what they mean

Johnson and his cabinet are driven by vested self interest.

Corbyn is driven by ideological zeal, not money.

All the time right wing supporters keep applauding the lies and spin the more they can get away with it.....which is what you seem to suggest you are happy with.

As said, could you not help in some way?Not sure you have either seen or posted the full picture. It is my experience many people will try and help others in distress.

Picture seven people in a waiting area of a major hospital.
One with a friend with a broken leg/ankle
One middle aged grump with a broken hip, broken clavicle.
One carer and one old lady in a wheel chair with a suspected broken ankle.
Two others who were eating crisps, never did see or here them book in or be spoken to so not sure as to why they were there.

Within 30 mins 20s person and friend were looked at, sent off for a cast.
Twiddling thumbs, after an hour looked at, sent off for another x ray came back.
(No new patients)
Roll on another 30 mins looked at and sent home.

All during atleast six different nurses, three physios, three receptionists (two in back office) two consultants walk past looking busy ofcourse even if two were also fixated to a phone.

Young lady carer fixed to the phone all be it every 20 mins or so asking if old lady is doing ok.

Oh, not to forget one nurse who was doing all the running around who i could see had no time and was so run all over the place she didnt even notice what the old lady had done.

If i were to say something, my personal feeling was that it would be landed onto the one nurse who was up and down between departments.

Why, being paid to be a carer could she not do the basics of cleaning an elderly patients bum do you really think?

Have a look round your town.

You'll find that under Tory austerity, the steps taken to solve the problem arising from the banking crisis included cutting public services such as libraries.

Funnily enough, the other steps included showering the banks in taxpayers' money.

Even Corbyn had donations of huge sums of money.

When the Tories have the landslide majority they have then bitching and whining about it on here isn't going to change anything.

Sometimes we just have to accept things and make the best if it

Are you suggesting that tax paying voters have no right to criticise rubbish governmental decisions or policy?
