A large number of unhelpful posts are being removed.
Health Officials:

"People are being advised to heat living rooms during the day and bedrooms before going to sleep as a cold spell hits the UK."

And if they really can't afford to???

I don't know whether it's expert advice, but its always prudent to check on an elderly neighbour. I don't mind reminding people (or being reminded) to be generous or thoughtful. (Ed.)

Makes me laugh I heard somewhere living & bedrooms should be heated to 18C! Ours are heated to 12C twice a day and even that costs us 50Kwh. Unfortunately we are without any secondary heating ATM as we found we inherited a b*ggered gasfire & chimney that is taking a while to sort out. Lots of woollies, an electric blanket and each other hahaha

We spend the evenings wearing an Oodie, I Just got myself some fleece lined jogging bottoms (I do not intend to do any jogging lol).
The heating still goes on rarely and if so in the evening.

What would the government do if we followed their advise, put our heating on and ran up big bills we cannot pay?
