Let's have an educational thread and consider the etymology of words.

"Easter" - what is the origin of the word "Easter" and what has it all got to do with bunnies :?:
 
Easter is related to something to do with Eastertide season for lent or fasting like the muslim's do at Ramadan,

And the bunny is related to santa clause .

It's all about the ££££££££££ now tho :wink:
 
I seem to remember it had something to do with palm trees and donkeys though i may be getting mixed up with the X factor show? :?
 
I suspect Easter probaly was a spring festival along with a festival around the winter solstice on 21st December where pagan rituals were practised by ancient brits before a more fashionable cult from the east (christianity)was introduced and we all know what happened next.
