Einstein's equation primarily suggests the mass and energy are synonymous. So a particle could have energy but no mass, and also have momentum. Gravity seems to be another example of this.

It's all weird mumbo jumbo to me too. I prefer dealing with stuff that doesn't even exist in a physical way
