Well the thing is a relative of mine (from a scandinavian country) came to work here for a few years some time ago and was shunned in certain trade outlets (plumbers merchants being the worst)...

They thought he was Polish because of his 'accent', so he ended up having to often state his country of origin...

After that it was all camaraderie!

Not saying the OP is lying (although that is an awful lot to be purloined in 5 minutes), but what I am asking is how exactly the OP knows the alleged perpetrators were eastern europeans.

The OP hasn't explained that yet.

My wife works with Eastern European’s and being an audio typist can recognise an accent. She was tricked by the Good Samaritan act as she has always found the Eastern Europeans that she comes into contact with hardworking and honest. There are bad sorts in all walks of life including MP's, Police, the Church etc. Could have easily started a thread with Theiving MP scum, Racict police scum, rapist Catholic scum etc etc but that doesn’t make them ALL theiving/racist/rapists does it?

Stop trying to stir up **** for the sake of an argument.

So, it could have been "thieving Scottish scum" had they been Scottish.


Blanket defence is the opposite of blanket condemnation.

Now change the word "Plumbers" to "Irish" or "Jewish" or "Methodist"

I have said before that blanket defence is as bad as blaket condemnation.

Were the thieves thieving? - yes.
Were they Eastern European? - we will take the OP's word.
Were they scum? I think everyone is agreed, yes.
Therefore the title is accurate. It does not mean all Eastern Europeans are the same.

Catholic priest scum says boy's mother.
If you think other religions could not be substituted shows how far down the slippery slope we are.

With her all the way... I love the Eastern Europeans the majority are a great addition to this country. But unfortunately you can't paint a picture and tell a story without the tail wagging the dog...

Not that I have to explain **** all to you but here’s a few screenshots. First transaction at Barclays began at 13.29 and the last two were at 13.33 . The others were in-between so they were obviously working as a gang and went straight to the cashpoints throughout the High Street. Haven’t got an online statement from M&S but they told us over the phone that £100 and £400 had been taken. They also registered the card with Amazon and made a £1 test purchase but that’s as far as they got.
