Hi all,
Sorry to post a problem which is probably quite routine. I've looked for answers but the wiring seems to be different in every example.
First of all, the thermostat is a Timeguard TRT033, the boiler is a Glow Worm Flexicom 24 cx.
I just tried firing up the central heating for the first time since moving into this rented place. The heating came on, however the boiler indicated that it was receiving demand even once the temperature in the house went way above what was on the thermostat, and the thermostat itself is not signalling that it is requesting heat. If I do turn the thermostat way up, it clicks on and off fine.
I tried taking the thermostat off the backplate to look at the wiring, however it doesn't match other descriptions such as on the wiki of this website. There are four wires: brown, black, green/yellow, and white. Brown is connected to COM, black is connected to NO, and green/yellow is connected to what looks like an earth symbol (you can just make it out in the picture below). The white wire is not connected to anything.
I tried opening the boiler to see what was at the other end of each wire, however the connection point is not accessible. I did take the cover off, and open the control console, but there is another unit inside which sits between it and the big grey wire that comes out of the boiler, so I can't say for sure which wires match up, and regardless they are pretty much unlabelled. I'll include an image anyway.
Can anyone help me? Thanks so much.
