Tiles Nail it or not?

Hi all,

I’m replacing my roof. Attached are my roof tiles. When installing roofer didn’t nailed any of those to battens. Sati that these kind of tiles no need nailing. And in future replacement will be easy.

is that correct? Do we mail it? Bit confused.

Its good that future replacement will be easy cos come the day of the strong winds it will be another job he can quote for and bodge up.

From Cassius Tiles Installation Guide

Nail each tile using 45 x 3.35mm aluminium clout head nails. Drive the nails fully home. Use Sandtoft ‘Fixing SPEC' service to determine correct fixings for each project. Contact Sandtoft Technical Supportfor further information.
