To all those that welcome/encourage the small boat migrants.

He's not giving her time to complete her train of thought. It looks awful. Although, having said that, this is what right wing interviewers do all the time and they get applauded for "destroying" people.
Nonsense.

He demonstrated you can prove anything with statistics.

She was vanquished in a fug of her own pseudo-intellectual failings.

He could have demonstrated that much more effectively if he hadn't been such an obnoxious prick.

Stuff and nonsense.

He had to maintain control of the narrative before her distortion of the truth warped the argument out of shape and substance.

There is also concern that their behaviour can change in an instant and they can become aggressive. Their behavioural history is unknown. The RSPCA said it’s no better than a Deliveroo for dogs.

So, how do they get around the 6-month quarantine? Using false documents perhaps?

If the RSPCA can rightly show concern about unchecked dogs coming from abroad, why do some in this country and particularly in this forum get annoyed about people who are showing similar concern about all those unchecked humans coming over on rubber dinghy’s?

Another major concern!

On the BBC website and in the TV news today is an item showing concern about dogs being imported from abroad. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cpwq40vjw8lo

"The RSPCA's major concern is these dogs are essentially ticking time bombs - coming over, not being health tested," Mr Bowles said."Diseases are now coming in through these dogs. They're affecting not just the dogs that are being imported, they could also affect the dogs already in this country and their owners".

There is also concern that their behaviour can change in an instant and they can become aggressive. Their behavioural history is unknown. The RSPCA said it’s no better than a Deliveroo for dogs.

The same could be said about the RNLI and the Border force with 'asylum seekers'.

Asylum seekers are like dogs?

We're getting to what you really think now.

Don't twist my words. Stray dogs imported from abroad. Yep. By that I mean not knowing their temperament, their history and what diseases they may be carrying? Do you know the temperament, criminal history and health problems those that cross the channel in dinghy’s may or may not come with then? Do you even know what checks or tests are made on them? Feel free to share.

Like holiday makers coming here, or people on business trips. Like people with visitor visas. Like migrants who arrive by approved migration routes.

Just like Brits don't get regular health screening and could have any number of health problems.

But no, those pesky brown people.

You mean all those that carry a passport and can prove who they are? Can the boat people, like the importers of unchipped dogs, prove who they are for starters? Without that, you can’t even begin to make any other checks if you suspect something dodgy.

Some do, some don't. That doesn't stop those other people committing crimes or having health issues which seemed to be your concern.

Would you be happier, like me, that there are more safe routes for boat people and they can be processed properly?

You might not be intending to compare asylum seekers to dogs, but it is a very fine distinction and many might think you are. It is probably best to stay clear of comparing groups of people to disease carrying animals. Historically, it has stirred up hatred.

"Once someone is dehumanised", we "deny them the consideration, compassion and empathy" that we would usually give other human beings, relaxing our "instinctive aversion" to "aggression and violence" towards our fellow humans.

aren't humans also disease carrying animals?

:LOL::LOL::LOL:

It's starting.

I didn't have you down as one of those.
I'm definitely human = animal
and I've definitely had the odd medical condition = disease

I take it you're not much of a dog fan?
