My toilet fills up when i flush it. I\\\'ve tried plunging but not worked what should i do next before i call a plumber like a damsel in distress! :D

get your hand down and see if you can feel anything, (with a glove on) or get a set of rods to try and push the blokage down, if its further down you might have to get someone out

unbent coat hanger works

at a push you you coud try a sink and plug hole unblocker

Same thing happened to me two days ago. When I dismantled toilet took pan into garden found a "solid" mass at the top of second bend. I was amazed how solid it was, bound around a ladies personal towel. Dug it out and now OK. Suggest you use the coat hanger idea but turn it as you insert this will break up the "mass". If you can beg or borrow a larger flexible spring type contraption, Aldi were selling them a couple of weeks ago for a couple of quid; these have a "Y" type front which you can turn with the handle.
