Trump questioned by reporters in London today said that in any trade deal with the U.S. everything will be on the table and that includes the NHS.
Could the UK be jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire .
Not much point Liberating your country from one tyranny only to end up in another one.

So what? Trump just says 'things'.

He also said he didn't say Meghan was nasty but he did say Meghan was nasty.

He is a con man.

I won't be buying any Trump chickens, that's for sure!

British chicken all the way. And not because I don't like foreign chickens, just because i think its bloody wasteful to fly birds around the world ... now if we could teach chickens to fly, like homing pigeons, or drones, to deliver themselves fresh to your door ...

Why does the NHS treat foreigners for free?
Why does the NHS overpay for drugs?
Why does the NHS hunt down whistle blowers? but ignore the problem highlighted.
Why does the NHS arrange appointments with patients, without consulting them beforehand

Just some of the reasons why this cosy cartel needs breaking up and real management installed. And americans are the best organisers and managers I've ever met.

If you want examples of real cartels and overpricing just look at American pharma companies.

Im sure you are right American managers in health insurance companies probably are pretty good at organising the business to cream off maximum profits. Being good at business doesnt make ethical or cost effective healthcare.

Winner of make eddiem "LOL" today, I've worked for yank companies, frankly I'd usually be amazed if they managed to find their way to work (not that it made much difference if they didn't)

Glad you mentioned that, the rip off starts closer to home with UK pharma like GSK fined billions in the USA for selling ineffective "drugs" over a 40 year period, the whistle blower was awarded $60,000,000 by the court. These same drugs were sold to the NHS, and guess what, no investigation and no fine, because the NHS with their socialist attitudes don't care about the cost.

That's the sort of mindset we need, with the profits staying in the NHS.

That's up to the people that run the organisation.

That's the exact opposite of my experience

I think you have deliberately missed the point

Really? A majority of foreigners that use the NHS do so because the live and work here.
For some that do not live here, e.g. Europeans and Australians, the NHS charges back to their country - agreements are in place, standard practice.
Some non-EU and Oz pay if they need to use a hospital.
Obviously, unlike some countries, if somebody is admitted to A&E we treat them for free before checking if they are entitled, because that's the human thing to do.

I know it doesn't always work, but that is the fault of the government who manage it, not the fault of the people that use it.

Dumb quitters don't understand that UK PLC has to make deals to function...

And Dumb quitters don't realise that getting in bed with America is a far worse proposition than staying with the EU...

And only a very Dumb quitter would describe the EU as a 'tyranny'!

I wasn't blaming the people that use it, good luck to them. The problem is NHS staff refuse to obtain the details due to their socialist beliefs, that moneys is not important

So NHS staff are all 'socialists'?
(whatever that has to do with anything)

Swivel-eyed loon!
