Unemployment keeps on rising.

something radical needs to be done, before it's too late.
I would start by getting out of the money pit known as the EU, lets have a referendum and let the people decide.

The people of France and Greece have already decided - it can't hold together now.

If you have paid your Class A National insurance for decades and you are not renting and have bought your own home you will get £71 a week from the dole office which after you have filled your petrol tank to look for work will leave you with nothing to pay for anything else..

However if you arrive as an immigrant into this country with no savings or accomodation or job the country will spend whatever it takes to put you and your family into rent free accomodation and pay for all your children..

The system is evil and unjust.

simply not true

they can come as tourists and get no help
they can come on a study visa and get no help
they can come on a work visa and get no help untill they have worked for a year
can you please state which method they can get benefits when they arrive ???

Come on Big All - do you admit you were wrong then?

Asylum seekers ,

That is people who may or may not have the right to be in the UK and whose Asylum status is unsure.

Quite simply Asylum seekers have been coming here whether properly seeking protection from oppressive regimes or for other reasons . . avoiding the law at home etc etc or simply to come into our country to dissapear into the black economy or to claim benefits.

The unscrupulous arrive and destroy all their documents thus then making it impossible for us to quickly return them.

The facts are that in some cases people who have not paid a single penny in NHS arrive on this shore and if homeless and with children get instant social support while the unemployed in this country have to jump through a million hoops just to get £70 a week if they are lucky

Even that link you provide if you read it again says each case is looked at individually it does not actually say noone will get anything.

It's completely wrong as I've proved to you.

Asylum seekers, have to wait until their claim for asylum is processed. They are not allowed, nor entitled to work. However most are accommodated and given an allowance.
This from the article Big-all links to.
Asylum support may be paid to asylum seekers who qualify for it – this constitutes a regular payment so that food and other necessities can be bought. Accommodation may also be provided to those who need it while their application is being processed.

So there you are. proof that asylum seekers are a burden on this country (and that's without the costs of controls in place to monitor them or the resources and manpower to do this)

sky boy is inferring that its easier for immigrants to get the services than the local people when in fact it is more difficult for for the immigrants with far more obsticals than someone in the uk with similar needs

No it isn't. Emergency housing is always available to an immigrant with a family - no such accommodation is afforded a Brit without kids.

A migrant can claim themselves self employed - and help themselves to the benefit system.

With people like you around is it any wonder we are the laughing stock of the world?

proof that asylum seekers are a burden on this country

I think only the far left, and utter idiots ever disputed this.

Allowing asylum seekers into the country is not a bad thing, with controls (remember the proper definition of asylum seekers are those fleeing torture etc). It is my understanding that they can be sent back if their country changes and it is deemed to no longer be dangerous for them.

The issue inst proper asylum seekers, it's economic migrants masquerading as asylum seekers, and large numbers of illegals and of course millions of eastern Europeans.

The unscrupulous arrive and destroy all their documents thus then making it impossible for us to quickly return them.

It's not impossible, it's just difficult politically.

In principle we could arrange some agreement with a slightly ****ty but not terrible 3rd world state to take them on for a small fee, it would be cheaper than keeping them in asylum camps, and possibly has a higher chance of getting them to suddenly remember where they really came from.

They were going to do that by paying Albania - but the lefties and lovvies didn't like the idea.

I never understood as a child the saying "the road to hell is paved with good intentions".

When I was older, and saw the results of labours (and similar) policies, I understood.
