Vacancy for RWR temp

What's Germany got to do with it?
Lots. They are one of the member nations of the EU. As are the UK, presently. They seamlessly buy stuff off us and us off them. They are currently laughing their lederhosen off at the UK for being so typically British.

Is that the same as a country that has been in the EU 40 years, has become reliant upon the EU and got reasonably wealthy doing so?

While "the country" might have "got wealthy", most of the people appear to not have.
Hence the disaffected "Leave" vote.

And will the disaffected continue voting for the party that is soft on tax dodgers and hard on benefits claimants? The party that fights the minimum wage and opposes workers' rights? The party that destroys social housing?

If so, they can expect the rich to get richer, and the poor not.

That's not the EU's fault.

As you know, the disaffected regions will suffer the most from Britain's proposed resignation from the EU. And still nobody knows that the government wants.

No it hasn't; this is what I said to JD a few days ago, and he couldn't understand it. We have a very high level of both government debt, and personal debt, and it's the personal debt that's pushing growth in this country. We've had austerity for goodness knows how long, and although government borrowing has fallen recently, it's still too high. Council taxes are increasing, wages are still down, house prices are still rising, and there's a pension deficit that even worse than a time bomb. So if anyone can tell me how we've got wealthy by being in the EU (and better still prove it), then I'll be happy to listen.

doggit hasn't taken up my invitation to show us the figures supporting his made-up claim.

What would your alternative be to the Tory government.
If the EU is really a defender of workers rights why have things gone downhill so quickly.

strangely put.

If the disaffected UK voters put in place a UK government opposed to workers rights, what do you expect the UK to get?

Are you going to try to blame "foreigners?"

Do you think zero-hours contracts are the norm throughout Europe?

I have heard other remainers claim that in a Britain outside the EU workers would have less protection, so, if that is the case why do we have the situation we have now,low wages, zero hr contracts ect. Remember we are still in the EU.

I have only said that the poor treatment of UK workers is a result of the UK government, elected by UK voters.

You agree, don't you.

Well if the poor treatment of UK workers is a result of the UK government elected by UK workers, then obviously the UK workers that get poor treatment, are happy with it, as they voted for the government in the first case.

are happy with it

or perhaps they have been tricked and misled

or perhaps they think they are making a protest vote

perhaps they are contrary or even stupid

who knows?

See John, I keep telling you that you don't understand politics; and posts like that just prove it.

Yup, thats the way the EU works

the disaffected regions will suffer the most

Yup thats the way the EU works!

parts of Greece over 50% youth unemployment.

high unemployment in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece

The ideology of the the EU is to encourage the free movement of people so that workers from poor countries work in rich parts of the EU making the wealthy richer and creating a skills and labour shortage in the poor countries.

Im sure that sits well with your own Left leaning views
