Hi guys, I am after a dual RCD board as narrow as possible.

I have seen the Crabtree 2 bank split load board, but none with two RCDS.

My other options is use two Proteus (ergh) modular's and click two RCD incomer boards together one above the other.

Whats the thoughts on not having one main sw to isolate the entire installation??

Thanks for your help
Andy

just how narrow does it need to be?
is using RCBOs an option?

Im not installing a board sideways because it looks bloody awful.

RCBO's not an option due to cost.

As narrow as possible, part of the wall that the cu is to be mounted on is coming down to make a doorway. So I need to keep well clear for that.
(clients not got the drawings yet)

Not leaving yourself many options are you?

Why not move the intake or CU position altogether?

No not really!! I cannot move due to the extra work involved.. and theres no where to move it to. I like the look of the board above, will look into it.

You actually like the look of proteus??

Haha no not really, but it does tick the boxes.
I did come across a Crabtree '2 bank' board but it was only a split load (would require RCBO's).

Bloody pain this recession lark... everyone wants everything done the cheap way!

Whatever the make, all boards with a certain number of ways will be pretty much the same width, as the width of the individual breakers and RCDs will be the same.

For one board, all you can do is decide on the minimum nunber of ways required and get a board with that many in it (although this leaves no room for future circuits).
If that is still too wide, get 2 smaller boards, with a single RCD as the incomer, and fit a separate main switch below or above the boards.

Have done it ths way:

Thanks for your advice.
