I did the 4 day full BS7671 at NICEIC Dunstable last week (91% so passed).

The tutors were all promoting the cable, so I'd think that can be seen as a endorsement from the NICEIC.

To be honest, I had only considered using the cable for switch drops as most domestic ring finals require earth leakage protection regardless of 522-06-06.
