Electrical + Instrument tradesman in a large Industrial environment, mainly PLC controls and fault finding control circuits, maintenance but very little installation work :(

Also DIY, with a long term fascination with electricity.
The pay is lousy but I get to work from home a lot.

Work for or to Strand Lighting?

We used to work with strand on behalf of white light north (before they shut down the northern part of their business), and the company I work for was involved with the development of the LD90 dimmer.

Electrical/Electronics Engineer, usually to be found fault finding on PLC controlled machinery.

I don't do much installation work though so don't be surprised if I appear to know nothing :p

RF what form of control for the LD's SWC or DMX from desk or controller?
or both? we use both SWC for rigging in the LD90 studios and DMX from desks for shows.

That installation is controlled by DMX only.

It's a pros arch style theatre in a university, so isn't utilised perhaps as well as it could be, and as such there is no real need for SWC.

I presume you work / dabble in the theatre industry Tim?
