well we've seen the new millenium/century through and just wondered like we think of how far we've advanced since the victorians how in 2100 they will think of us second elizabethans?

will life be more simple by then due to no oil?
will they be living a life of luxury with no need to work?
will jedward still be around?

I rather fear that by 2100 the population of the earth will have been decimated, due to greed, the few that are left, will neither have the inclination or resources to do much rebuilding.
The living will envy the dead :( :( morbid I know

Probably natives from the remotest places on earth, who have never seen the progress made in this century, never mind the next.

ah yes... in a thousand years the 'umbutu tribe of somewhere deep in what is now the rain forest will find the remains of great "temples" in the new northern forests and find the lost continent of UK and wonder at how advanced we were...
then they'll find the gladiatorial type arena's of the football grounds and assume we were some sort of savages fighting each other to the death...

we won't be much more than a footnote to them as much as the Aztecs and Egytians and Romans are to us..

what in 90 years time?

nothing will change a great deal, humanity hasnt evolved that much over the last thousand years, people still have the same needs wants and desires.

humanity is not evolving it is regressing

dont agree. human nature is what it is. Some good, some bad, some evil, some power hungry etc etc, no different to what it was 100 or 1000 years ago. It will just rumble on being the same, with different people being remembered for different things

If we progress technologically as fast as we have done over the past, say, 200 years, then I can see someone making a wrong connection and blowing us all to smithereens.

My Grandpa told me I would never see the changes in my lifetime as he saw in his.
So far he was right!
He was born in 1889. The bicycle as we pretty much know it today had just been invented. Of course his mode of transport for most of his life were his legs. He never drove a vehicle and was quite able and fit right up until he hit ninety and right until his demise a few years later.
He never believed man landed on the moon.

An extract from the report,

'
In the light of new experimental data and theoretical understanding, the LHC Safety Assessment Group (LSAG) has updated a review of the analysis made in 2003 by the LHC Safety Study Group,

In laymans terms, they THINK everything will be ok but this is only a theory.

In theory if I could move my arms the way a bird moves its wings then by adding feathers I could fly.
