Why do we need negotiators?

Q. Why do we need negotiators?

A. So that the UK can grovel to the EU and beg for a deal meaning we have the same situation as prior to quitting only we will be in a poorer position. At least the EU won't be able to tell us what to do (most of the time).

Is the above about right?

Roger the Racist/Fraud/Liar would be happy pulling out of the talks now. Surely you quitters would be happier severing all ties with the dreaded EU?

Is that succinct enough for you Motorbike?

how many times do u have to be told.

These talks are complicated u have to have talks . Typical remoaner. ( thick)

just one example is

What about the rights of EU nationals living in the UK ? and UK nationals living in the EU ? do u not think there should be any agreement , talks etc on the subject ????????

It will be a reciprocal arrangement in the favour of the EU.

What the dumb quitters don't realise is that we will end up with exactly the same thing we had before Brexit.

Except that we wont have a vote and we wont have the same bargaining power. Stupid quitters.

Lets leave now. Stuff the talks.

Well a typical remoaner can not get there own way then lets throw the toys out the pram .:)

there are and will be negotiations on the rights of nationals amongst numerous other subjects and that is right and proper. That is what happens ;)

so as we can leave in an orderly fashion.

take a few deep breaths Noseall, have a sandwich, have a drink ,but get kin Get a grip Noseall ffs :)

"stuff the talks"

Why? We just tell them what we want and they obey. Surely?
No need for talks at all. What is the point of leaving the EU if we then need to talk to the EU. Stuff em. Let's give the Quitters what they want.
Don't you agree with Roger you lot? You seem to thwank him often enough?

Sometimes I envy your ability to get to the nitty gritty. I am talking about the posturing, not roger. he is not worth talking about.

Those champions of Brexit at the top in politics are saying that the UK is not going to pay ANY kind of 'divorce bill' and rightly so.
If I'm reading it right, the whole point of this payment is that it is a bribe by the EU to encourage talks on the UK's future trade with the single market etc.

We are leaving the single market.

We are ending free movement.

The likes of Redwood and Rees-Mogg are suggesting that the UK holds the upper hand and that any stalling is being done by the EU and that they are more desperate for the talks than the UK.

Is there any reason why the UK shouldn't just walk away from the negotiating table immediately? What have we got to lose. Serious question.

It would depend on our ability to accelerate the notice period.

As it stands we cannot negotiate trade deals with anyone else until we have left.

If we can avoid next years payments and generally think the talks are going nowhere then we could save £15bn which is not a trivial amount. Money that could offset tax breaks to those most affected.

Because we have more to lose.

We also have obligations that are being (wrongly) called a "divorce bill". The exact figure is obviously open to debate, but we are due to pay a large. Complaining about that won't change the fact that we have obligations.

We have lost. There will be no single market. No freedom of movement.
What is there left to bargain for? Why pay huge sums to the EU when we have zero to gain?
Like the quitters have said, we just pick up the little bit of slack by trading with Japan and the US.
Slam the door now. We hold all the cards.

UK wants (needs) a transition period of some years.

Article 50 doesn't include one.

Some negotiation required there.

Being awkward and uncooperative may not encourage the 27 to be amenable.

We already trade with the US and Japan.
Our trade with the EU is rather large, and they are far bigger than us. In what way do we hold all the cards?

Article 50 is just the mechanism and process for leaving. Everything is negotiable, and there is nothing to stop an agreement for a transition, or further negotiation after we leave.

Everyone (including remoaners) should remember that the EU (and specific EU countries) have a much if not more to loose as the UK, and would prefer a deal of some sorts instead of WTO tarriffs. The UK is not in the weak position that is touted in the press and repeated by the remoaners.

Brexit is happening. Why can't everyone just get behind their country and support the UK? Why are UK people actually willing it, and the UK to actually fail. Thats just complete stupidity, I can't understand that at all.
