Well I live near London

( 20 miles)

so Transam and Skippy are likely to snuff it in the first nuclear strike

***t happens ( unfortunately)

Not saying it will happen, but I wondered if UK would be a prime target. Nukes in Western Europe would be on The Ruskie's doorstep - USA too far and well protected. A little island maybe ideal as an opening shot.

I think of this analogy.

If Scotland voted overwhelmingly to become independent, and became independent, only for England to send in troops x years later saying 'we don't recognize your independence, you're coming back into the fold whether you like it or not' then yes, I'd pick up arms to fight for my country.

And please, I don't need any stupid jokes. I'm typing this 100% seriously with a mind on what the Ukrainian people must be going through.

X amount of years later decided to invite Russian or Chinese to station armed forces in there country ???

If I'm reading your scenario correctly and you mean Scotland invited Russia/China to base troops in Scotland, I would be 100% against this and I'm pretty sure the high majority of the voting Scottish public would be the same. However, if for whatever reason it was passed into legislation and happened, I'm not sure in that scenario what else I could do other than protest thereafter.

Acting big by our gov and especially nATA has got the evil Putin to put his nuclear units on "high alaert"

someone needs to take out Putin

I will put your suggestion to my source in the Kremlin

slight issue though putin is on the
Bo g at the moment

he over did the laxative

( see my earlier post )

but would England have cause to take military action ? If the Scots continued and ignored public opinion ??

and would you still take up arms against the English

Tbh you're adding a layer of complexity to the scenario I provided an answer for re OP. In this scenario, I'm not sure what I would do. I suppose it would depend on what form England's military action took. Let's leave it there, or we'll go down a rabbit hole of more and more scenarios!

Here's how I see it, & I'd like to point out that I've been the most right on here so far . . . .

Putin has overestimated & underestimated in several key areas. Respected strategists are pointing out that he now has a limited time period to achieve his goal & what happens next during that time is fundamental to the outcome.

The offer of "talks" is far more important than I think many of you realise.

I will give it another 4days max, if the present conflict doesn't drastically ramp up by then . . . . Then he's lost & needs to kick in with his exit strategy.

If the internets stops working, or the lights go off sometimes next week, then we are looking at SNAFU.

It's just PR to make them seem like they are trying to avoid a war that leads to them occupying all of the Ukraine.

Maybe. But someone could have & should have called it out if it was just PR.

I can think of several genuinely neutral locations where both sides safety could be guaranteed . . . . How come your MSM couldn't???

Perhaps they are not as clued up on international shenanigans as you are?

It has been called out, including by President Zelenskiy.

However it shouldn't really be news as Russia spent days pretending to be thinking things over and engaging diplomatically in the weeks leading up to their preplanned invasion.
