Wired v wireless

Our bell box rusted, so decades ago, I replaced it with a plastic one, and recently the plastic one disintegrated. The system I installed was all wired, so whilst the wires are in place, I'm wondering whether replace the lot with a wired or maybe wireless system, for ease of install? Has anyone experience of reliability of these wireless systems, please?

Hard wired first always!

Wireless should be a last resort, if hard wired isn’t practical for one reason or another

Yes . Wired was always better anyway

Simpler setup , no batteries or wireless communication needed ,

different considerations,

but we will try and reuse cables if available parts are cheaper, no batteries to change no radio jamming to be concerned about.

the number of homes where they cut the wires back decorate and then ask for wireless is crackers.

The original bell housing rusted, looked awful, and I picked up a plastic replacement at Lincoln radio rally.

Just fit a modern alternative….as long as you have the correct amount of cores to the bellbox …4 minimum …5+ better
