Where's the hot line for reporting tax dodgers?

Tax fraud is a crime and everyone loses out because of it. It means there is less to spend on the National Health Service, schools, pensions and many other important services. The government is committed to tackling tax fraud, and much of this work relies on information gathered from members of the public.

You can report this type of fraud online, or by calling the Tax Evasion Hotline on 0800 788 887, open Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, Saturday and Sunday 8.00 am to 4.00 pm.

Put down for it???........what you mean like a dog, please explain?

Thank him for his custom, your joking aren't ya!...........he got his haircuts for free thanks to my soft girlfriend, she even lends him money sometimes cos he can't budget or wastes it on silly porn films, you'll probably find he owes us money

Repay him, don't you mean him repay us, maybe he should think about repaying some of the benefits he's defrauded first.

As far as 'mate' goes he was never a proper mate just someone i say hello to if i'm at the shop, he's a waster!

"Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country."

Ufortunately that is completely lost on many in the UK, but don't be in any doubt the Government and political correctness is complicit in this vile and vulgar downturn of morality!

hassnt it been warm today

Okay...

First of all, sentences start with a capital letter as do names and places. So let's try again...

Hassnt it been warm today.

If that was a question, as opposed to a statement, is should have read

Hassnt it been warm today?

‘Hassnt’ isn't actually a word that I know of, or in any dictionary for that matter, so maybe you meant..

Hasn't it been warm today? The apostrophe indicates where a letter is missin'

Of course you could have just meant it as some kind of new-age statement of sorts and I am just behind the times, yo man slap me some skin bro...

But since your post is completely unrelated to the subject matter I am inclined to think it's something of a pi$$ take or attempt to derail the thread. Who knows???

I wonder if a crocodile could beat a Grizzly Bear in a fight?

That still makes no sense.

Put the missing letter in and you get, "Has not it been warm today."

The correct grammar is: "Has it not been warm today?"

And depending on whether in water or on land would decide which would win the fight.

But hold on there! Bears can swim and I remember from QI that a bear can woop a lion because it punches the lion's fragile skull. I also remember from said program that although a croc can carve a naval warship in two with its bite, if you wrap an elastic band around its gob it can’t open because the 'open mouth' muscles are incredibly weak. (Unlike mine). :D

You see Jo, there’s more to it than meets the eye, but I digress... ;)

Is this the biggest topic drift or what?

no i ment what i said you see i thought people would be able to read the words and not sit there tutting cos the grammar is incorrect i also dnt look down my nose at people cos they say or spell things differently as long as i can tell what they mean thats good enuff.
also dnt start "yo man-in" me you know jack about me
there you go big tone that should give you hours of fun picking all the grammar, punctuation and spelling mistakes out of that you sad little man

hassnt it been warm today
With respect, how is that relevant to this thread and where did you want that to go?

If it was a joke, I didn't get it. If it was sarcasm, maybe a smilie would help. If you have Asperger syndrome, I apologise most profusely!

I'm sorry if I was curt, or if my reply offended you, but who here can tell me what that was about? Someone, anyone, please?

I am an understanding and considerate person but, FYI, you don't know me either! So before you call me “sad” maybe you should look at your own post which prompted me to reply as I did...

Sorry for any offence given, but I tend to 'tell it as it is’.

Your post made no sense and, again, looked like you were taking the pi$$; closely followed by a second one.

If someone, anyone, can tell me how it was pertinent to the thread I am always happy to explain and/or apologise for any offence given.

Yours confused

Tony

Thats one of the most truthful statements I've read on these boards.

my post was mearly to break the tension as everyone was tearing into eachother if you did not pick up on the "joke or sarcasm" thats down to you it seams to me that you are happt to just com on here and tear into someone just because they dnt meet your expectations and im not talking about the benefits topic im taking bout people like me just type things down wether it be to break the ice or just to be involved then getting slated because they did not put a capital letter at the beginin of thier statement who then get people like you demeaning then just because they did not conform with what you would like, if you had no opinion on what i said because it was not relevant then you should not say anything at all because as you said it had nothing to do with the original thread, as i said i was trying to break the ice between people who was tearing eachother appart mabey just trying to start a friendly conversation for a change. if you would rather an argument the enjoy yourself and carry on argueing.

That still sounds worse than Hasn't it been walm (warm), as it's a double negative in a sentence, maybe it should be simply, 'It's been warm today,' - which would still be incorrect, as it implies a statement, but it hasn't been warm everywhere, so should be indicated by a question mark, 'It has been warm today?'.

If this new planet the scientists have found indicates that it may harbour life, is there not a chance that they spotted us first, and face the same challenge that it would be beyond technology at present to communicate with us? Or they do daily, but we don't have current technology to receive their signal? They are sat there with their spacephone, saying, 'nope they still aren't picking up..neanderthals!' no point visiting, they are stupid!
