Unemployment keeps on rising.

Come on you Europhiles. Explain why an economy that is shrinking needs more workers to lengthen the unemployment queues.
Just what is the benefit of unregulated immigration? (other than to the migrant that is)

If you have paid your Class A National insurance for decades and you are not renting and have bought your own home you will get £71 a week from the dole office which after you have filled your petrol tank to look for work will leave you with nothing to pay for anything else..

However if you arrive as an immigrant into this country with no savings or accomodation or job the country will spend whatever it takes to put you and your family into rent free accomodation and pay for all your children..

The system is evil and unjust.

but yet go on a spending spree of their own with QE

Quantitive Easing I think you mean. A spending spree by the tories?
Haardly I would have thought.
Labour initiated this method back in 2009 to try and stimulate growth and boost activity in the economy.
Isn't it imperative that this money gets to the high streets?
Thats what Alistar Darling said.
Are the banks lending? Is the dosh getting to the high streets?

The tories have kept it up and increased it.joe's opening gambit was about unemployment going up over the next five years, the money printed was never intended to reach anyone in the high street and as not,so no money in circulation no spending money=high unemployment. The tories have always liked a multitude of people chasing one job it keep's company's lean and mean.

But who is paying for it? How long can it continue before the rating agencies downgrade us? Then borrowing becomes more expensive. I've been saying for years that before we can pay back the debt we have to stop borrowing - yet we can't even do that can we? We are credit junkies that just can't stop.
If any government tries to get a grip on it - they are voted out as in Greece and France. We know that we are on a runaway train yet vote to have the brakes removed. The buffers are only just around the next bend.

Thats what Dave meant when he said we are all in it together.Since 2008 when the crisis came to the fore no one has come any where near having a credible answer that will satisfy the people that matter,we the common people.

Come on you Europhiles.

The problem with your challenge, joe, is that when someone disagrees with you and your fellow conspirators, you resort to insults and tirades of abuse. When that fails, you (and your fellow patriots) call for them to be bannished.

Eventually, your behaviour fails to generate any meaningful discussion, other than generating and justifying greater intolerance amongst your comrades.

So, other than the University of the Street, what are you macro-economic qualifications that allows you to arrive at such a simplistic solution.

Answer the question (he won't)

unemployment will continue rising, while we have ever increasing fuel costs, and while we continue to let jobs go abroad in order for carbon reduction results aka... Kyoto to continue.
We are not doing ourselves any favours, we need to start manufacturing our own things, and get people back to work.

Therein lies the crux of the matter with austerity and cuts no investment. The tide has to turn and dave will ignore it at his peril one hopes.

Well Red Herring, I think I'll jump in an answer this on Joe's behalf. Unemployment is set to rise for the next 5 yrs (because we have hardly any industry left). Therefore the last thing the country needs is thousands of Eastern Europeans, coming over here looking for non existent jobs. At the risk of seeming to appear insular in my thinking, its about time the UK government put British people first. It's time British employers put British people first. I don't believe the argument that these EU people are over here only doing the jobs Brit's don't want. There are thousands of Brit's looking for work, but failing to get jobs, because the Eastern European have beaten them to it.
I applied for work on the Olympic sites in East London. Many agencies offering work , would only accept people from Eastern Europe, to build the British Showcase that is the Olympics. Who's fault was this?? I lay the blame firmly on the shoulders of the Labour government who kow towed to Europe, opening our borders for all and sundry.
A lot of people blamed Thatcher for the loss of British manufacturing jobs, but it was Labour who gave what other jobs were left away.

A Maersk line Triple E class container ship can bring in 18,000 containers on a single trip from the far east.
Full of cheap goods that people want.
Were not competitive anymore and never will be.

We could and perhaps should use this carbon reduction protocol to our advantage. Bring in an "Unnecessary transport "tax levied on imported goods , it'd be green rather than protectionism ;) Then things would have to be produced in this country.
