If religion is so unimportant, and as an atheist, agnostic or disinterested person, what does it matter which religion will have the greatest numbers?I read somewhere that it's estimated that by 2050, Christians will still outnumber Muslims, but that this will probably no longer be the case by the turn of the century.
Currently:
350 million Buddhists - http://www.buddhanet.net/e-learning/history/bud_statwrld.htm
2.1 Billion Christians approx 33% of population - http://www.pewforum.org/2011/12/19/global-christianity-exec/
1.6 Billion Muslims approx 23% of population- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam_by_country
So where did you read the estimation of Muslims and Christians?
What about the influence of about 40% who are non-believers?
