Don't knock it. Good for the UK.
rubbish, anarchoronistic, medieval clap trap.
Be like me and take no notice of it if it bothers you.

Do you live near the royals?

No, on a personal note I wish them nothing but health and happiness, just can't fathom the monarchy as an institution.. Incompatible with modern values... Plus I really don't believe any of the figures given by the establishment as to their supposed benefit to the UK.

Maybe they are surviving because people want them to survive.

Let's say they break even then. What harm do they do?

A lot of evidence however points to the fact that they have a positive financial influence on the UK and by some margin.

The people have no say in the matter.

They ensure that Britain remains a feudal society and that the other layers also remain.

If you mean tourism, that would explain why countries without a monarchy have none.

FWIW, it's certainly been the talking point around here. Not just the news channels but locals as well. I admit to being surprised by the amount of interest taken.

You'd be surprised what public opinion can bring about.

Give over!

Our Monarchy is the envy of the world. Many countries would love the revenue that they bring in.

I'm not pro-royal or anti. I just don't see where they are a problem. Good for UK finances and good ambassadors for the UK. It's not like we'll ever be neighbours or be fighting for the same parking places.

I can imagine the 3am conversation "It's your Butlers turn. No it's your Butlers turn!"

Good luck to them though, they seem a nice couple :D

Beatrice should take another holiday immediately to get over all the excitement.
