If someone posts summat, albeit "their opinion" it will still garner a reaction is the content is provocative. You can't berate people for wanting to criticise or counter their opinion, if that opinion goes against the truth.
No, but it would still be their opinion.

No, but it would still be their opinion.
So you keep saying. What's your point?
That some people wrongly disagree.
No, but it would still be their opinion.
No it wouldn't.

Wow, misrepresentation of a quote award goes to......EFLI!!! Well done bud. Care to quote all the wording in the post next time eh?
I am heartened by your surprise.

That some people wrongly disagree.
Are you saying it's wrong to disagree with an opinion?
Oh and can read the whole sentence and respond rather than just cherry pick individual portions of a sentence or post, in an attempt to be vague and clever. It's rather tiresome and disheartening.

Well,

One thing I used to like was your posts Noseall.
Always quite witty / funny / sarcastic, but amusing etc.

But I think you're being a bit hard here with EFL. I mean, compared to me, DJ, LMB etc, he's a reasonably balanced ok kinda guy...

Did you get out of bed the wrong side today?

Wrong time of the month? - you know, some Poles beat your quotes and you lost some work?.......:p.......;)

He thinks he's top dog on this gd forum now since most of the smart interesting people have left. Quite amusing tbh. Think he's the bad one out the good the bad and the ugly. :ROFLMAO:

I sometimes wonder if we speak the same language.

You asked me why - I kept saying that, even though wrong or stupid, their opinion would still be their opinion.
I replied and quoted - because others said their opinion would not still be their opinion.

Your next retort was - is it wrong to disagree?

I suppose it depends what you mean by wrong.

There wasn't any more:

You wrote it......

That some people wrongly disagree.
I'm interested to know why YOU think it's wrong.

A lot of this post and much of the argument was based upon whether an opinion can be discredited and whether the use of Google was warranted etc. All you have done thus far EFLI is say "well, its just an opinion blah, blah...."

Can you explain why it would be wrong to discredit, refute or argue against, an opinion?

Who has ever said that someone's opinion is not their opinion? o_Oo_O

I suppose it depends what you mean by wrong.
Sometimes it may be morally right, expected and honourable to disagree with and discredit some opinions.

If one could give thanks (that has some reverential sound to it!) to a part of a post. I would have thanked you for part of your post. I might have just added a 'normally' reasonably balanced ok kinda guy.

I suppose, in hindsight, anyone, and everyone, compared to the likes of you, DJ, LMB, et al, is a reasonably balanced kinda guy. ;)

If someone says it's wrong to disagree, it's their opinion, isn't it.
They hold a not credible or creditable opinion, IMO, and probably easily refuted, but still their opinion, however hollow.

One could also expect them to substantiate their opinion, even if one thinks it's an unsubstantiated opinion.
Is this getting tortuous?
