If the BBC invited him on to do a hatchet job

@blightymam
You speak as though fear of the possibility of mass immigration into Europe and it's effect on ours and our kids future is irrational.
I don't believe it is in the current situation, and given most European politicians seeming reluctance to tackle that situation it's no surprise at all that far right parties are making hay.
I'd go to Hungary....if they'd let me in.

I think it does make people irrational, far right parties are not rational, just as far left parties aren't either. I don't want to live in a far right nation.. I want to live in a balanced society.

Admirable sentiment, so do I (and just for the benefit of worm tongue, so do very many muslims), but I don't think we are on the road to a peaceful, happy future. Do you?

Why do you think that taking control of immigration and holding it at manageable levels is a far right policy?

I didn't say that.
I was talking about the rise in far right parties across Europe, which is what you talked about. Please Sooey, don't twist what I said or make stuff up, that's the work of Himmy.

I wasn't trying to twist your words honestly. It's just that I am firmly of the view that the rise of the far right parties in Europe is solely down to the fact that they are seen as the only people who are talking seriously about controlling immigration.

In all honesty, how have immigrants affected your own life? Do you think controlling immigration will stop the likes of ISIS?

Up to now, only economically, but we are talking about the future and the rise of what you call the far right because of people's perceptions of what they think is likely to happen.

Do you think controlling immigration will stop the likes of ISIS?
No, we've got plenty of potential home grown terrorists in our midst but it will certainly make things harder for them.

He who pays the piper calls the tunes and I fear this is the case with Andrew Neil.

He is just a highly paid mouthpiece for the establishment.

Western governments might be trying to lock the stable door, but they know the horse has already bolted.

This is why I said that it was a hatchet job.

If we stop all immigration now, it will only be a matter of time before Islamists with their much higher birth rates produce enough people of voting age that will allow them to take over the country.

Have I answered your questions?

Andrew Neil is very challenging of the establishment, he does not let the interviewees get away lightly. If the interviewees aren't very good at what they do they get shown up. The piece he broadcast after the Paris attacks was far from mouth-piece ish. I find BBC news website is a whole bunch more mouth-piece than the telly from the same outlet.

.
Excuse me?
Following your lead.

I think that's what bothers me the most. The rise of far right parties, which let's face it, have a black heart at their very core, is on the back of what people THINK may happen. Far right parties are exploiting fears to gain popularity. I really really do not want this to happen to Europe, to give Far right extremists any power in government. Luckily they are still the minority, despite the rise.

I am for immigration control, not closure. It should be done in a fair manner, not just Muslims, which is what you're mainly talking about. Anyone with a criminal record should not be allowed in etc. For example how Arnis Zalkalns got into this country is a utter f.up when he'd already done time for murdering his wife. You would not get past the border control in say, the USA with that record.

No, not really.
I do not see how his video on Paris made him part of the establishment, nor gave you weight for your argument. You do come over however as someone upset that he didn't give that chap the time of day. One interview. One.
