I have the following LG 100W soundbar: http://www.lg.com/us/home-audio/lg-LAS260B-sound-bar.

The tech specs of the soundbar says Power Consumption is 27W. As I am going to be placing the soundbar quite high up, I need to cut the plug off and couple it. I got the following coupler from maplin: https://www.maplin.co.uk/p/5a-permanent-mains-flex-connector-2-core-white-vj81c

I have a spare brand new figure-8 power cable which I was thinking to just cut-off the figure-8 part and then couple it with the maplin coupler. The plug on my figure 8 cable has a 3A plug. The question is, will 3A be enough for the soundbar and will the figure 8 cable be ok to handle the power? Not sure what amp fuse is currently inside the plug of the soundbar.

The specs (and the headline) in your link say total power is 100W but that is still less than half an amp, so -

Yes.

Yes.

Wish I could turn 27 watts into 100 watts. They are lying, it can't possibly be 100 watts output.

The music power may be 100W, but the power consumption is rated at 27W @ 230v.
Feel free to test my maths here, but doesn't that make it draw only 0.117A

Average, yes. Which as far as the fuse and cable is concerned is what you need to know. Did you read the wiki?

No, that was based on a calculation from my old college days. I've just started Level 2 and we have not done the science part yet so I'm trying to keep my hand in.
I'd be interested in knowing Wiki you were referring to so I could look it up.

Only if the sound bar has unity power factor. Did you learn about power factor in your old college days?
