the working class in london , those struggling to make ends meet & run a 2nd hand car now have to fork out another £10 a day to drive a car in london

all brought in by mr Khan the "labour" mayor :)

Yes.

Although I don't understand the logic of these things.
It is supposed to be for reducing pollution yet as long as you pay you can continue polluting.

As Michael Winner used to say -
"Did you know you can drive in the bus lane for only sixty pounds? - bargain"

I don't know how many "working class" people drive into central London every day. I never did when I worked there, except when I was on night shifts and finishing in the early hours, or weekends. Traffic means it doesn't make sense, and parking is extortionate.

You do know where the congestion zone is, don't you?

Do you know anyone from leafy Surrey who drives in to the City or the West End every day?

Why are they struggling to make ends meat in a prosperous city such as london? With more than half of uk investment in public transport goes to london -something is not right.

I used to ride in to london daily. takes half the time of the train. I wouldn’t believe the press though claiming all vehicles older than 2005 are affected. My old banger wasn’t.

well the BBC radio this morning said it will affect 34,000 people, some people drive there to carry out menial tasks , plus this is only the start of what is to come & this caper is likely to be rolled out in other city's .So they said on the radio ?

he was asked about wood burning stoves and fires & said he was not looking at banning them ?

To show my displeasure, I think I might just park up at Marylebone and leave the engine running, and let the prevailing winds do the rest.

Kuck you Khan't.

We look after 2 district heating systems that burn wood pellets , the place always smells of smoke

they get a feed in tariff for this caper as well :) all supposed to be green & envirio' friendly because the trees they burn absorbed X amount of Co2 during its life time

If u found a bit of prehistoric wood and burnt that it would not count as the co2 it absorbed was millions of years ago ???????????

tis all nonsense imho

i personally have a big issue with how he fakes his glottle stop. pretending he’s street.

The City and the West End have a lot of the best-paid jobs, so I suppose your friends who drive in from Surrey must do work like office-cleaning or hotel chambermaids. It's a shame the tory government keeps the minimum wage down. A lot of them must be foreigners, or as the RWRs like to say "migrants" who do this kind of job because the native-born Brits won't touch it.

Nice to see your concern for the underclass of working people. Have they told you how they feel about a minimum wait of 6 weeks to get Universal Credit, and how they will pay their rent, electricity and food for six weeks with no money coming in? Or what they will do when their credit is stopped or docked for four months of every year, because the system has been designed to treat a month with five weekly paydays as a 25% pay increase? So they are considered to be much richer and not in need of help, and have to apply again the following month?

I guess you'll have to blame mrs may, the "conservative" prime minister.

 blame who u like

fact is that what ever Government is in power , the one certainty that u can bet your mortgage on is the poor get poorer & the rich get richer ;)

tis the way it is always has been and always will be. Corbyn's ideals may well be very noble , but if ? or when ? he gets power , he will have to deal with reality, and if u think that the service sector is going abroad en masse now due to brexit ??

you have not seen nothing compared to the exodus of the service sector as & when Corbyn gets in ;)

you mean in the same way Socialist Sweden is poverty-stricken and business has fled?

errrrr... maybe not.

In 1948, a crushed Britain built more homes than it does today. Have we got poorer?

You started by pretending sympathy with the working man or woman who drives into the City or West End every day for low paid work. I wonder if you were sincere.

WTF does this have to do with the congestion charge Johnnyboy? Just another attempt at knocking the government. I'm surprised your not having a go at Khan (mind you, I shouldn't be)
