He is the representative, on this occasion, of 27 other countries.
He is not threatening, he is negotiating. Do you understand the difference?
Like Davis, May, et al, he is exploiting the media.
You jump for joy when Davis, May, Gove, Johnson, etc exploit the media, then complain when others do the same.
A totally gullible spectator that does not understand the problems or the processes.

"Britain should scrap corporation tax and make it easier to hire and fire workers."

Gasbani my boy I hope you are ready to pay more taxes as it will be coming direct from your pocket.

Sir James Dyson, the champion of British engineering, has quietly transferred his £1.5billion business empire offshore in a move that could save him hundreds of millions of pounds in tax.

So unfortunately he has conned you Gasbani, he's as patriotic as those immigrants in Calais.

My dear chap, I didn't think Dyson was patriotic, he transferred manufacturing to China did he not ?
His acumen as a business man can hardly be disputed. It's his view of membership of THE EU that interests me.......as for his vacuum cleaners ........you always see loads of them the at the tip ......you hardly ever see Henry's there !!!!!!

Gasbani his views on the EU are moulded by his needs as a business man. The less regulations and controls for employers means he can squeeze workers harder which eventually means the Government picking up the tab, when people are hired and fired suddenly causing financial hardships and being unable to meet rent or payments.

I can perfectly accept criticism of the EU - I myself have many but the idea Brexit will mean we can solve our own problems within new trade environment don't stand up to reason.

If we are to leave the EU then it should be a process over a decade not two years. There is just too much to do. The best option would be remain in the EU and change it from within, failing that would be a long period to decouple ourselves, the worst option would be a sudden exit - that would be catastrophic.

I posted on another thread about the number of agreements and regulations that need to be negotiated and no progress has been made.

Also Gasbani - Dyson is the biggest recipient of EU farming subsidies in the UK and he has warned the Government not to cut farming subsidies after Brexit.

He is simply using Brexit as a means to further himself, you would do better to pin your flag on someone with better credentials as Dyson has shown to be nothing more than being self interested, so please don't fall into his trap of thinking he is singing from your hymn sheet - he is definitely not.

My dear chap I'm not pinning my hopes on Mr Dyson, but if as you say he receives farming subsidies from the EU and yet still wants to exit from that politicalpc religious ideology then it rather shows what he thinks of them as an organisation......He actually like most big businesses probably profits from the Union yet he still wants out .....I think that's interesting.

Gas my boy. Dyson wants his cake and to eat it. Dyson makes the majority of its profits and sales in Asia/Pacific region now.

He receives £1.6m in EU subsidies and wants the UK government to continue those payments after Brexit.

Dyson doesn't like the EU for many reasons but primarily he wants to be rid of employment controls and corp tax - neither of which will benefit you.

The fact someone can go and do this should encourage everyone to do the same, to put all their money in offshore tax havens, and then the government would get no tax, the entire country would fall to pieces, and out of the ashes might come something that actually works in practice and not just in theory, for once in human history. Pretty much the only thing I agree with Corbyn on is massively increasing the taxes that corporations and the super rich pay. The trouble is he won't do anything about it because the government doesn't control the country, corporations do. If he ever gets in it will be Blair 2.0, except even worse, because the money isn't in the coffers to squander.

No.
It should be right now. Walk away.
Kowtowing to a zealous cartel who only want our cash will get us no where.
Dyson is spot on. As is wetherspoon and lord bomford.

Sadly its you that's been conned.

“We really need the government to take up the cudgels on this,” he said. “As a country, we need an extra 87,000 engineers a year to meet demand.”
“There’s no shortage of engineers in the Far East,” he added. “40pc of all graduates from Singapore University are engineers. Even the Philippines produces twice as many engineers as us. Either we expand here or we will be forced to do it in the Far East, which would be a real shame.

James Dyson.

Britain’s 13th richest person said more people from India need to be allowed into Britain to support businesses such as his,

Roger I think you should really understand Dyson motivations. It's like the US IT companies which advertise artificially low IT salaries to create the impression of a skills shortage so they can recruit cheaper Indian workers.

Based on the article you link, you are simply making a fallacious argument.........as you well know

The article does not imply, like you do, that Dyson's motivation is cheap labour. It says his motivation is because the UK has a shortage of 1 million engineers.

So thats why he said in an interview he wants it to be easier to hire and fire people. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

One million engineers - any backing to that claim by Dyson?
