Poland

It's composed of us and our allies.

You really need to take off the rose tinted glasses John. Whilst we are a member of the EU, in truth it's controlled by an unelected body that has us there for paying money into the coffers, but would rather we shut up and accepted our place in the scheme they've always been pursuing. Yes, if we're not in it, we can't have any influence, but we're never going to do much more than be a drag on it's designs. But out of it, we won't get dragged down when it goes under.

please show us where he used those words

No, Blair himself didn't use those words himself, but as one of his former advisors admitted the policy, I think it's reasonable enough to attribute the quote to him.

And here's the link before you start any of your pedantic no he didn't say it, so it can't really be true games.

I do find it ironic when the Irish are against immigration.

Independance for Wessex. Stop Irish immigration.

How far would you like to go back?
It all started with Horsa and Hengist

It all started with the twins Horsa and Hengist ,the Ronnie and Reggie of the Saxon world, they were invited over to Britain to do some seasonal work exterminating some Scots and Picts, they were supposed to go back were they came from when their contract expired ,however they discovered that the Brits were soft touch's so they ended up exterminating them as well and taking over and now they are everywhere.

Obviously not.

As Doggit said, plumbers should all be exiled to Surrey.

Does that mean everyone has finally accepted that it was and is not the EU's fault, then?

It could even have happened were Britain not a member.

I'm not sure about the others, but it seem to me that Blair started the immigration problem in this country in 2007, and the EU caused the current one that we're trying to hold back. Neither Labour nor Conservative have made any real effort to control immigration, nor to get rid of those who shouldn't be here.

It could even have happened were Britain not a member

Most definitely I'm afraid. I think Blair and Brown used them as cheap labour to help fuel the economy, and whilst they claimed it was to rub the noses of the right in diversity, it was also to increase their eventual election base.

Spare a thought for the Italians & Greeks , they are on the front line of this migration/refugee crisis (?)

Then again would they give a s*** if it was the UK on the front line ???

Probably not ;)

I'm afraid if the Italian navy insists on plucking them out of the med, and taking them to Italy, rather than back where they came from, then they deserve all the problems they get. But I'll spare a thought for the Greeks, even though I suspect the government is getting well paid to deal with them.

It was at one time the Common Market when the UK voted to join up

Over the years its morphed into the E.U , which in turn if they get there way, will morph into the united states of Europe.

The U.S.E ;)

The Brexiteers , had the fore sight , vision and intelligence to under stand what was going on or what the master plan was ? or is? And in the words of that great actor Peter Finch ( said in some film)

"We are as mad as hell & we will not take it any more"

In years to come we will be hailed as heroes & visionaries ;) the day we leave should become a bank holiday so as generations to come will remember & have cause to celebrate ;)

yep in the words of J.D in his now legendary past post.

"Hoorah , Hoorah for decent people were ever they are"

:LOL::LOL:

The EU is still a work in progress the end product is a unitary state in which the national sovereignty of the component states will have to be abolished.
The UK cannot remain a sovereign the nation and a member of the EU at the same time as the two are mutually exclusive.

Vinty wears black-tinted glasses so he can view all foreigners with hatred, and invent a future of his own imaginings.

There cannot be a policy better designed to encourage N.African migration to Europe, than the Italian navy picking them up and bringing them to Italy.
This is where Europes' supposed humanitarian 'values' conflicts with the reality of introducing cultures which despise Western values and which will cause problems in the future.
It reminds one of the story of the traveller taking pity on an injured snake and taking it home to nurse it to health. When the snake is fully recovered, it bites its' saviour and kills him.

yes, all foreigners are venomous snakes.

In your head.

And again, all foreigners are mass murderers.

In your head.

Not all of them, and nowhere near a majority - I fully agree.
But a significant minority is able and willing to cause death and destruction at a level out of all proportion to their numbers.
