Is This Sign Confusing?

I think they mean inclusive of and subject to minor tolerances. In any case it is an incorrect use of the plus minus sign. It makes sense on the enforcement part of the notice a little bit.

Do you think people don't have enough misery in their lives without having to deal with this shyte added on ?
It's called 'life'. Day to day life - it's not hard or difficult to pay a parking meter to park somewhere, not much to 'deal' with.

Its definitely got harder with these stupid phone apps that you have to pre-load with money before you spend it. Particularly since there are lots of different providers and no standards.

Its the same at the petrol pump, it wasn't that long ago they were saying you would explode in to flames if you used your phone on the forecourt, now they've removed the pay at pump and replaced them with pay by phone app.

Are you in favour of hospitals charging patients to park at the hospital? If you were visiting a terminally ill person, i.e your child, would you have the mentality at that time to deal with a load of spare change and confusing scribbles ?
Got to agree with you on this one.

I've not seen either of these - have they completely taken away the option ability to pay normally/old fashioned way? If they have then I am buggered!

Both Shell and BP have removed pay@pump for pay via app, or pay via queuing up. I've not used either. I did however use the whetherspoons app the other day, to order drinks and meals from my table rather than queue at the bar. Very convenient.

My lad and his mates use it, but the manager is a paranoid grumpy fkcuer. Keeps complaining when they order drinks separately...

In the same way... What ?
No difference in paying for a mars bar as paying for parking. I need petrol in my car as much as I need to have somewhere to park. I'm not going to suddenly expect to be exempted form all charges because my family are sick. I will continue to pay my way.

What alternative ? Alternative to what ?
Car parking charges?

I get told off when I question people's wording when it shows they don't know what they are writing.

That there is someone at the council, tasked with designing signs, who can't write properly is a completely unexpected shock.

What next? News reporters who can't write or speak properly?

The sign is incorrect. The error was due to the PDF reader at the Printers reading - as
± and the person fitting the signs not proof reading it. The error with delivery vehicles not being on a separate line was mine. The sign is to be amended tomorrow (31 May). Thanks for letting us know.

Re payment by phone; the camper parking scheme is in place for a 12 month period as a trial to see if there is a demand. If the trial proves successful then alternate payment can be introduced and additional features (such as water supply and waste water sluice) put in place. Payment by phone is quick to introduce and gives us an accurate record of usage.

Man who meant to put bullet in font, forgot to put bullet in font.

@Wyre if you are changing the sign, you should think about defining what a "Motorhome" is too.
