I've repeatedly shown you the four models for countries that aren't in the EU.

If they want access to the Single Market, they have to pay for it, and they have to follow the rules.

You know that. I know that. Trade negotiators know that. Theresa knows that.

Now Nadine knows that.

Is she so stupid that she didn't know before?

Or is she just dishonestly pretending?

Like you?

The idea of the transition period, is that everything stayed largely the same.
  • freedom of movement
  • access to trade
  • governance
  • payments
  • representation ?
Who's having their cake and eating now.

Option 1 - sign a convoluted deal which binds us to the customs union
Option 2 - Hard Brexit and let chaos ensue and wreck the economy. I can't see how having an abrupt change of status from the EU is going to be some walk in the park - only idiots and the deluded think that.

How about a deal that leaves us with no Nadine Dorries? I’d vote for that.

Who told you that the right to make the rules continues after resignation?

Did you see it written on a bus?

The transition period was supposed to help the UK muddle through while it got ready to really leave.

What you boys think the transition period was going to be and what it actually will be are completely different under the current deal proposal.

That's why she (and quite rightly) suggests if we're going to be tied in indefinitely (and we will under the current proposal) while still having to follow EU guidelines and pay in as was, we should get the same representation.

Call it a no deal and no representation is completely acceptable but it's not that.

As already said, her comments were taken out of context and it shows throughout this thread.

As for John Ds daftness about making rules after we've left, when we have left, fine. As long as were tied in and paying for the privilege, we haven't left.
