WTO in a nutshell - I don't have the answer for that

So why don't you put forward some facts. Or watch that clip or listen to Ivan Rogers or any other person who has knowledge about WTO, in fact why don't you go to the WTO website and have a read.

If you can't rebut the point it shows you have no argument.
No it does not,,it means I have a life other than arguing over fekin brexit.

Has the UK considered the gun boat diplomacy route ?

Perhaps it could sort out this Brexit caper

How does the EU differ from the Common Market and how does it affect you personally, Hate?
Inthe old Common market there was no Freedom of movement for one thing.
The EU is a political project with the ultimate aim of abolishing the nation state and replacing it with a single European superstate run by the Germans.

Just tell them that the Russians are coming and they will be begging Britain to protect them.

No comparison really, when builders went to Germany ,they didn't take their families with them and expect to be given a council house.

so they used to pay the same taxes, and do the same jobs as anyone else, but not get the same benefits? Are you sure? I bet you're glad there's hardly any Social Housing since the days of Thatcher.

And how about restrictions on movement with Europe prior to 1914. What stopped you getting a job in France, or a Belgian getting a job here, accompanied by your/his family?

is it true that when you were young, hundreds of thousands of Irish and British people used to go to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Rhodesia and the USA to better themselves?

With blockades, embargoes, tariffs, non-tariff barriers, incompatible specifications....

Yep, you want to go back to the days of pirates, smugglers and the Preventive Men.

And plenty of wars, of course.

are you truly ignorant, or just crazy?
Nothing has changed has it, the Europeans are behaving just like they always do, can't get their own way so they are threatening all sorts of negative consequences if Britain doesn't roll over.

Do you know how many work permits were issued to foreigners in Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and West Germany (the original six members of the EEC) during the guest-worker period of 1958 to 1972?

According to JohnD after Brexit the UK waters will be teaming with Pirates.

I expect he has got congused with Somalia, a place he a thing about judging how often he mentions that country :ROFLMAO:

This was regulated movement of workers, which could be controlled.
Nothing wrong with controlled immigration, it can work for everyone.
What we have today is mass uncontrolled immigration which has led to the rise in anti immigrant sentiment.

mass uncontrolled immigration

Oh yes, you're the guy who pretends not to know what the EU rules on Movement of Labour are, and pretends not to know that India and China are the countries where most migrants to the UK come from.

I bet you're silly enough to blame EU membership for that.

You're going to carry on pretending for ever, aren't you.

Vintry says he likes the idea of going back to

I don't.

The men who founded the European Community had just survived the worst war the world had ever seen. The middle-aged and older ones had also survived the second-worst war the world has ever seen. Nothing was more important to them than preventing a recurrence. Co-operation in trade was not the objective, it was the means.
If you believe that co operation in trade is the route to peace and harmony in Europe why do you support an EU which seems determined to disrupt trade between Britain and Europe.

silly vinty thinks that EU27 voted to expel UK and tear up 45 years of carefully crafted co-operation.

They didn't.

Can you remember who decided to pull the plug?
