Worcester Bosch, Why Not?

My Mum had a WB combi fitted a couple of winters ago to replace the Biasi that was always giving her grief. It's been alright so far - when I had my bathroom ripped out a month or so ago I used to go round hers every night for a shower and it was perfect - nice and hot and very powerful. The bloke that fitted it fitted a wireless thermostat because my mum is either in her bedroom all day or the living room so she takes the thermostat with her into whichever room she's in to run it at her temperature. Probably inefficient and the house is like a sauna sometimes but she's comfortable and can afford it.

"Ignoramus" is not a Latin noun, it is a verb.

I don’t mind them but lived within a stones throw of the factories most of my life and working this area rarely see anything else. Hugely overpriced though.

It is currently used as a noun in English.

English nouns ending in -us do not change to -i in the plural.

How many red bi have you seen today?

from your link, what do you think "1st person plural present indicative of ignōrāre to be ignorant of"

noun?

or verb?

noun, plural ig·no·ra·mus·es.
an extremely ignorant person.

No argument that is the very first statement in my link

I had a Worcester 24i in my last house. In 12 years it needed a gas valve and maybe a fan. Seemed right enough to me.

wrong on both counts.

nope

It's used as a noun in English.

English does not use the -us to -i change for plural nouns.

Its origin was a Latin verb. Latin verbs to not change from -us to -i and verbs do not have plurals in that sense. "Ignoramus" is actually itself a plural form of the verb.

So neither as an English word nor as an English one does it become "Ignorami"

MOD: Please the thread on topic rather than debating linguistic matters.
