We joined on 1st January 1973. And we joined the European Communities, not just the EEC, aka the Common Market.

We had a remain/leave referendum on 7th June 1975.

Don't recall any of that only joining the common market ref

As for yer other claim (s) who cares it was all
Them
Duffers who voted us in that have caused this chaos

5, 3/4 million.:)
That figure is as about reliable as he claim that a million people turned up for the stop Brexit protest in London .
According to crowd modelling experts there were no more than 315,000.

Correct. Some say it was more.

Some say it was less

No
More than 315,000 ? Personally I am of the opinion that it was 314,000 some of whom were shoppers caught up in the event

Some were trying to get home and got caught up

Throw in the pick pockets and those up to no good involved in criminality

Duffers who had no idea as to why they were there those out on the piste and the total number drops significantly ;)

London: heavy remain vote. Very good transport links. Saturday. 14 million population.
Hardly surprising that whatever-the-number-was turned out.

I wonder how many feel so passionately as they'd rock up on a wet Tuesday in, say, macclesfield?

Yes you did. The anti Brexit march was populated by ten thousand times more people than the pro-Brexit march.

Simple maths.(y)

Nicely twisted.

A protest march is, by definition, a protest.

Most people have better things to do, than protest for what they already have (y)
