I think I win, with the mess my cowboy builders made in 2013 - I think this is what made me take a keener interest in building work!

Don't panic, it was all replaced by a plumber - he came to my rescue after seeing the photos!

This is not good. All this push fitting has created another class of plumber.

It's tough finding a good plumber, builder or any trades. Glad to see a good fella has sorted you out.

In a way it helped me out - I now have a plumber that is happy to help. He works full time, but fits me in in evenings. I even fitted the radiator for the last job, so he just needed to do the pipes.
He's no longer gas safe registered though (used to be), so only good for rads and bathrooms.

The chances are that he knows a good decent gas fitter. If you needed.
 
He does actually, said he could recommend one when I finally save enough to buy a new gas cooker.
 
You know us DIY types, we have to make sure the joints are completely full.


Yes your soldering could be better. But it's still a good install. Definitely if you are DIY er
