He was probably being restrained, and until we know why the police decided to restrain a black guy outside the government building

Why does it matter if he was black or not???

The fella who bit me was white.

It matters because there is a huge unknown at the moment about why he and the police came into contact with each other straight after a terrorist attack, outside a government building. It may have been racially motivated.

We;ll never know though, because all parties involved will be protected. Which means we can either speculate wildly, or just wait to see what comes of it.

Does this include police officers who approach a man outside a government building and shove a hand in his face, just because he's black?

You know this for a fact do you Jon.... Just because he was a black man. If this is the case then we are all Fncked

Can't see why him being adopted matters. I can't believe e he only got 7 and half years. Should be life.
Adopt a kid at 1 year old and you can bring him/her up how you want, hopefully to be a law abiding, educated valued member of society. Adopt a kid in their teens and the rot/bad habits could already be set in. Not the ex-Tory's minister's fault if that happened but Ellie would like it to be.

Have you tried to adopt a kid? Plenty of teenagers upward that nobody wants as they can be very hard work or often beyond help. New borns though - rare as rocking horse poo as everybody wants them.

Bit of a backtrack there, if, as you say, the police approached him and shoved a hand in his face just because he's black, there's no 'may' about it, it would have been racist, I suspect that's far from the truth though, do you not think his mum would have been shouting about it from the rooftops, at the moment she's keeping her head down.

Forget the terrorist attack, he used to work for the foreign office and diplomatic corps until he got the sack. He turned up at the govt building wanting to speak to a friend, the police were called, it kicked off.

Of course well know, he's being charged with assault (Abbots son, not the copper, for the avoidance of doubt).

Ahh...

mottie needs another reminder of what he originally spouted...

£10k a year private school for a Labour MP's son and this is how he turns out. Nurture didn’t work here, did it?

So you can either turn out a 'law abiding, educated valued member of society' or you can't...

It matters not then (according to mottie) about nature, but appears to be a result of the upbringing of a child dependent on the political affiliation that mottie agrees or disagrees with...

Yet another prejudice to add to mottie's very long list of prejudices!

You make a fair point but I don't blame Diane for her sons actions, he's a grown man.
I'm interested in her response.

And how is that different from all the headlines? Nobody knows what happened.
But seriously, how could somebody bite a police officers thumb under any normal circumstances? Why would a man suddenly choose to attack the police outside a government building he was visiting in the afternoon?

There is much more to the story, but it's quickly been politicised and spun for the election.

And how could flem come out of one's gob under normal circumstances...

It's a mystery as Miss Willcox once said.
