Spell it out...

Chief constable on radio said his officers had not received any training

Jeez us  training in common sense now

Are you implying that they are not capable of doing their job properly because they cannot understand the legislation.

Police have been videoed demanding details from people who are walking down the street. When they refuse, they are hit with Section 50 (Causing alarm, harrassment and distress)!!!

No win situation. Police will be damned if they do, damned if they don't. Would rather they go tough for the benefit of us all and make mistakes (which are really quite minor mistakes) than stand by and let people do their own thing. We have a substantial minority of people in this country who need saving from themselves. Trouble is, this minority will also cause big problems for everyone else.

Really...you do not even possess enough common sense to realise very poor grammar makes you appear incredibly stupid and uneducated.
Oh stop that i hope you're joking. I remember a saying that stuck in my mind from my great uncle who at the time i thought 'just worked in a factory', until i later realised his work was world class research in Atomic Energy.

Go tough and make mistakes? Bearing in mind they are attempting to enforce something that is not law? And then fining people for it?

That's like a copper stopping you in a 30 zone and fining you for doing 25.

Yes, I agree some people ARE flouting the actual law. In those cases, they should be dealt with. But not people who are doing what is lawful but the police think they shouldn't be doing it, so take action. Like the lady sitting in the park meditating (and practising safe isolation, until the police came along) who was told to move on. When she didn't she was arrested.

Utter madness. The police are there to uphold the laws of the land. If they don't like those laws, that's tough.

They have to stand by and not act if there is no law being broken!
They can't just make ****e up and try to enforce it.

For the benefit of us all....if people are out practising safe isolation, there will be no detriment.

It's a very slippery slope, I tell you.

I agree.

"Look officer, as I am the only one here breaking the law/rules, what harm can it do?"

As I said earlier, she is only alone because everyone else has not gone there.

What "rules" are being broken here? I'm talking about people who are going out working, shopping or exercising.
