The RWR - BHS on here claim it takes a certain time to become 'English', but won't say how long, at the same time claiming that others can't possibly get this 'Englishness' thing.I would see this young man as being English.... Of course this depends on if he considers himself to be an Englishman..

If a Chinese person were to visit a Chinese takeaway in the UK, they would not have heard of most of the dishes. I suppose it would take a 'true Englishman' to interpret the menu for them.That is true.

It's got to be within the heart. My English born Canadian cousins are Canadian through and through. They love their country.
I see young black kids speak with a Jafaican accent yet I've met Albanians, Hungarians and Polish with near perfect English accents.
