I saw a moth I've not seen before - a Jersey Tiger Moth. Didn't want to be papped and soon flew off

We get loads like that in our garden, but the buggers always shag off just as I get close enough to photograph them

We had a number of them on the Lavatera today. They are called Painted Lady.

I think I chose the wrong place to shelter from the rain tonight... moved away pretty fast when I realised!

I don't think I've ever seen one so much in the open as that one

I know! I think it was hornets, perhaps they will nest anywhere coz they know nobody in their right mind messes with them

I thought itmay be hornets by the size but all the nests I've seen have been more contrasting colours, perhaps they didn't have enough variety to chew on.

I think the fish is a Pike.
