With all the mask wearing, hand washing, and other social distancing etc, does it mean (if we continue those measures) into the winter, that colds and flu will be less contagious also?
If so, why don't we do that every winter, instead of relying on vaccinations?

Because people are idiots.
Since I was a child I was taught 'coughs and sneezes spread diseases' and to practice good hygiene.
Sadly there's people who don't listen/care.

On my way home from the my dads funeral at the service station which was beginning of March when this was all just kicking off, my brother came out the gents and remarked that for the first time in his life, he saw a queue of men washing their hands. Normally, he said, you'd see a couple.

Oh, and in the news yesterday, the flu jab is being offered more widely this year, because of the dangers of flu AND covid.

youngest boy following closely in his steps. he’s 17 and the two of them have just started a company together to get him going.
