What have you been doing today?

All done. 45 minutes there and back. I can’t even go in one direction quicker than that during the week! The bloody heat hit me when I opened the door. Knackered already and it’s only 6.30 a.m. :cautious:

You should do what I do. Don’t take 'em down!
I did a job years ago in some shoite - hole cull - de - sac.
You could tell the sort of riff I was going to find inside, as Santa was still up on the outside. Hanging by his ankle. In August.

(The inside of the house didn't disappoint, shall we say:sick:)

Baby sitting! I think he’s going to be a builder. Mind you, if I hear Baby Shark one more time, he might not see his second birthday!

Worked the last three weekends today was first day off so went a bit mad with wine last night, spent the day recovering

Just back from dropping my cat off to the Royal Vet Hospital in Potters Bar. My local vet screwed up big time today after a routine x-ray at a mere £700, (she has a leg that occasionally gives her trouble at the mo), they overdosed her 5 times the recommended max dose of painkiller by not following their own safety protocol.
So our poor cat, instead of being home and recovering all safe and snug had to be driven a fair distance to a better animal hospital. She is now hooked up to a IV drip, being pumped full of meds to try and bind the overdose to it to be flushed out instead of it attacking her organs and will be in this situation for at least 48 hours. We've got to hope that she doesn't suffer kidney failure or stomach problems. I am proper angry and so very worried. The vets kept saying it was an accident.. told em an accident is dropping a mug or stubbing your toe, not following safely protocols over medications is negligence.

Sorry to hear this STFF. Hope she is recovering by now. As for the £700 I hope you haven't paid it, or if you have then demanded it back, regardless of whether she pulls through or not. Imagine the outcry if a hospital did that to your child? Why do these professions sometimes think offering an apology and then getting someone else to sort out their mess, is good enough?

Been up my local High Street today, great to see it all open and shops and staff making a living. Went up in the loft to stash some Christmas pressies that I had bought for Mrs Mottie and, as you do, I started looking at old photo packets. I found one where I reeled off 36 pics in one go with my motorised drive Pentax of Princess Diana when she visited a special needs school near to where I lived in Plaistow back in the mid eighties. I got so near to her, she actually shook my hand! She looked and smelled gorgeous. :) Anyway, here a few of the pics that weren’t blurred.

Went and did the weekly shop at Sainsbury’s. Used the app but got pulled up at the checkout for a full check. They did it all again and it came out £4 cheaper - I must have scanned something twice.

Been doing some beating with my dog out at the shoot today. Over 18,000 steps/8.3 miles and that’s not road walking, it’s boggy, muddy fields and bramble covered woods! My hips feel like they have been ground to dust.
