As career lorry drivers are more likely to be obese, have diabetes, elevated blood pressure, and shorter life expectancy than the average bloke of the same age, giving them something that isn't a full english probably isn't a bad idea.

I don't suppose the foreign drivers are keen on a full english.
But one cereal bar to last 'em for a few days will give them a taste of English hospitality.
I suspect they'll go off looking for something a little more substantial, maybe a stale croissant or two.

Bojo dropped the clanger at the start by locking down late. He again left it late for the second lockdown and again after criticising Starmer for locking down. 3 days later he does so.

When you have car without brakes moving down a hill - is it easier to stop it when its just started to move or when it's halfway down the hill and picked up speed? Once a virus has picked up momentum / R rate has gone above one then you require more energy and effort to bring it back down.

We have had more than one U-turn and this won't be the last.

If the road is straight then you know there is a hill ahead of you, if there is a bend in the road you may not be aware there is a steep hill just around the bend until it is too late.

Has it been mentioned here that the UK has the best and most thorough genome sequencing processes and that's the reason why the new variant has been "detected" here back in September and that is why it has not been detected in all the other countries? We may not be able to claim the invention, unfortunately.

It's ironic that the same people moaning back in April that the UK was not doing enough testing to track and counter the virus, are now moaning about the results of too much testing.

The problem with that defence is we have past evidence of how to deal with pandemics and how countries in the Far East have reacted.
