Yes it was revealed last week that the US had reliable intelligence that three technicians in the Wuhan Laboratory were taken ill at the very same time that the virus broke out "at the market", but like with most other things, China has kept this quite and blocked all reasonable questions and investigations.

P.s trump also said in November that the vaccine was almost ready and would be a matter of weeks before its available to start the vaccination program.. all and sundry came out and said he was wrong and a buffoon even the Vaccine companies said the same, then a few weeks after the election, boom ta da the vaccines here now, bidens endorsed it...

Trump was wrong to defund WHO.
If you want WHO to have teeth to lead these investigations you cannot turn round and then ask them to do it on the cheap. When you defund the regulator the inevitable outcome is market failure or disaster - look at the failures of the underfunded FAA and Boeing.
There needs to be a full and frank investigation into China and the outbreak.
I didn't say trump was right on everything, just laughing at the hypocrisy, which tbh trump had to spend 4 years trying to deal with, and most of it was out of spite more than him being a ding bat

The virus could have come from a Laboratory in Wuhan but it could have also have come from a lot of other places as well.
It quite possible that the source of Covid 19 will never be proven definitively.

My take was that Trump defunded the WHO because they didn't have teeth and were protecting the Chinese who were their other main source of funding.
The World health organisation hasn't got any teeth, it can't compel any country to comply with its demands.
That leaves diplomacy as the only option when trying to get countries like China to cooperate, that in turn leaves them open to accusations of being to soft on the Chinese.
The Chinese could just as easily tell the W. H.O. to **** off but they seem to have been more open than their detractors are willing to admit.
