Paperwork and formalities. Which is always time limited, with no guarantee of being renewed or extended. So why would anyone invest in remaining in that one place? Your rights are severely curtailed. You no longer have the same rights as indigenous people. You no longer have the protection of the ECJ.You can still retire wherever you want, just need a visa which is easy enough as you will have means to sustain yourself and a medical insurance.
Retirement/holiday property might end up in disrepair if you are denied a visa.
Quite a whole new set of formalities.Pet passport...
For whoever cares, rules don't change.
Still need to have jabs up to date and microchip.
Same as when you go out of Europe.
You can no longer plan your life/travel further than two weeks ahead in case your vise is denied.In other words, just apply for a visa and a couple of weeks later jet off.
