My point was, that as Israel are giving the second dose to every one, they have no data to show that not giving the second dose reduces effectiveness,
It seems the data doesn't quite meet Pfizer's expectations...

That study suggested the effectiveness of the vaccine after a single dose was as low as 33% - rather than the 89% that had initially been thought.
It depends when and how they're doing it.
I don't think they've released details but if they're just looking at the period between Jab1 and Jab2 three weeks later then it's a storm in a teacup. Protection during that time is expected to be partial an increasing over time. Averaging it out during that time at 32% doesn't feel grossly wrong.
If they're following our approach and waiting a long time for the second jab then it's more worrying news.
Israel has been vaccinating harder and faster than we have, they're dishing doses out at a high enough % that you should be able to see the effects at a population level.
Looks like government's own 'stats' are even more unreliable than previously thought. National PHE stats for people testing positive for Covid are based on people who tested positive up to 60 days before dying. So test positive beginning of Jan, fall out of a window late Feb - and bingo - you're a Covid 'stat'.
With criteria like this, their 'figures' will keep this farce rolling in perpetuity.
