Vaccinations romping along

I get my jab on Tuesday but in the meantime I’ll try to finish off Bobby’s limerick. Absolutely no offence intended BD. Maybe you’d like to finish it off yourself.
I take my hat off to you, Early riser. The first two lines were totally unintentional. I would have prided myself on noticing a little gem like that normally.
No offence will be taken, I assure you.
Please be my guest........
I look forward to the result. :)
If your wit is matched by your awareness, it'll be a sight to look forward to.

Yes the vaccine programme has been a Brexit benefit......although the procurement did happen whilst we were still fully under EU rules.

Brexit economic damage though continues to grow......goods movement through Dover is down by a huge amont, because of Brexit red tape. That's damaging to business.
And France are going to be more strict now (1st Feb)
The reduction in trade is equally dur to the pandemic.
50% of lorries are returning from EU empty due to increased bureaucracy.

Had offer by letter Thursday 280121 - Vaccinated Friday evening 290121 (AstraZeneca)

Some discomfort but not a problem.

My attempt.........

"See what I mean, he's obsessed with me.
There's more to life than me, Dangee.
And my DIYnot life becomes so weary.
Please leave me alone, thank you, Bobby."

I've already had the offer of my jab and accepted it at my local GP's, but this morning I received a letter from the NHS, to go online and make an appointment at (I presume) one of the big vaccination centres.

My attempt.........

"See what I mean, he's obsessed with me.
There's more to life than me, Dangee.
And my DIYnot life becomes so weary.
Please leave me alone, thank you, Bobby."
Hmm, not bad, but shouldn't there be 5 lines to a limerick?
1st, 2nd and 5th lines should rhyme.

how about:
"See what I mean, he's obsessed with me.
There's more to life than me, Dangee.
Then there's trazor, he's a laugh,
but he does go on, not 'arf.
Please leave me alone, yours, Bobby."

Hmmmmm, not bad, how about...

"Bobby surely is a monster.
For here on DIYnot he tries to conquer.
But we will listen to his ramblings no more.
As he is becoming quite a bore.
With the Vaccine the UK will prosper."

Hmm, so so.
The syllable count could be improved.
The rhyming could be improved.
The last line ought to have some reference to the rest of the rhyme.
And you're creating a whole new beginning.

"Bobby surely is a monster.
For here on DIYnot he's no imposter.
But we'll listen to his ramblings no more.
As he is becoming quite a bore.
Although with facts, his arguments he'll foster.

Apparently Macron is livid that the UK is so far ahead of France in the vaccination process.

But I suspect we've been ahead generally since at least Waterloo, n'est-ce pas?

There is a remoaner called Bob,
Who really should get a job,
He has no life,
Can’t find a wife,
So twiddles all day with his ........

Macron has been asleep on the job

does this buffoon actually know that there is a French company producing a vaccine in Livingston Scotland

has any one woke him up and told him :?:

and said it may not be a bad idea to buy a few doses from the French company :?:
