Easing of Rules

So much talk of cowardice from jab heroes. However I know plenty of double-jabbed who are still hiding behind the settee. I was sitting in my near deserted local the other night and their absence was obvious. What exactly are they waiting for? Two jabs and still no balls grown.

You don't suppose those people are using a little common sense do you and avoiding exposure where possible?

I had the two long ago, but I'm not fool hardy - I go out when I have to, plus for the odd treat, I will not be going out just because I'm allowed to. I'm particularly limited at the moment, because I was in hospital last Thursday having an op. on my back. I'm certainly not fit, nor in the mood to go anywhere - I cannot sit or even lie down comfortably. My first time out, will be to my local surgery for a dressing change appointment on Wednesday.

I agree, now we go out when we have to.
Pre-Covid we would be out a lot of the time, eating out, at restaurants and friends, just visiting, concerts, etc, and that includes trips back and fore to UK.
Now we go out when we have to, shopping, work, etc.
We'll continue that behaviour until we deem it safe to resume our normal activities.

That was quick

"UK performs U-turn on mask wearing after Covid curbs are lifted

Vaccines minister cites ‘expectation’ for people to wear face coverings indoors and on public transport"

https://www.ft.com

The UK has made an abrupt U-turn on mask wearing, with a senior minister saying they should still be worn indoors after remaining coronavirus restrictions are lifted on July 19 as case numbers continue to rise sharply.

Boris Johnson had said that wearing masks in England would be a “personal choice” and the government would end the “legal obligation to wear a face covering”.

The prime minister was also photographed not wearing a mask in a car on the way back from a Euro 2020 football match on Wednesday.

The government stance on masks has been criticised by scientists and opposition politicians as the Delta variant sweeps through the country.

There were 32,367 new positive results recorded on Saturday.

Some of them sponge off the taxpayer and spend their days walking the dog.

They may never become productive members of society.
But were they ever?

And I dread to think of having a mechanic 'teacher' who guzzles wine for breakfast

there's a one-day walk-in vaccination clinic, open to all over 18, at a Church Hall near me on Monday. Doing first doses, and second subject to your dates.

Good idea to sweep up people who've missed out, before they succumb to the highly infectious Johnson variant.

With local papers having dwindled away, I suppose you need to use local facebook or something to hear about this sort of thing.

Ah, you mean like in mottie's fantasy story.
Not a fantasy. I read it somewhere.

Ah yes, here. "I have friends and family in East London. I drive a nice car. It is registered outside the area. I am white. Per hundred trips (about a year's worth), guess how many times I have been stopped by police?"

Posted when you used to give your location as Greenock. What was a lie then, the number of trips or your location?

no you didn't. you made it up, using unrelated scraps from other topics.

So you made up the "from Greenock" bit.

And you made up the idea that I still do it.

No doubt you still travel from South Africa to Plaistow every day.

So you made up the "from Greenock" bit….
I made nothing up. Greenock was the location you gave at the time of your post. Anyway, you seem to have argued with a few on that thread over the most meaningless of points including the meaning of the word 'comply' yet four times I mentioned about your driving from Greenock to London and there wasn't a peep out of you, let alone a denial. I'll let others come to their own conclusion as to why that was.

Edit: Just for the record, are you saying that your location wasn’t given as Greenock when you made that post?

He'll not answer just more obfuscation

If we all responded to all the nonsense mottie posts we'd have no time for anything else.

I do not currently live or work in Greenock. My last remaining relative in East London has died after a long illness. My remaining friends in the area are as fit as I am so we meet half way, on occasions and subject to lockdown regulations since I am not a Conservative.

mottie likes to pretend he thinks I still drive to East London every week. This is not true.

This all came about because mottie doesn't like to admit that black people are stopped by police more often than white. Especially the Met.

It is absurd that he seeks to deny it.
